Embedding Scripting Commands

As well as representing the decision-making logic, Decision Trees are a good way to represent flow of logic for executing embedded Procedure objects consisting of scripting commands.

To avoid the need to create Procedure objects there is a facility in the Decision Tree editor which allows the scripting commands to be embedded directly into the Decision Tree structure. The main benefit of this is where the Tree is used to represent the logic flow for setting various indicators, thus avoiding the need to create a large number of Procedure objects to perform simple assignments.

To use this feature, click the (Add Commands) icon on toolbar of the Decision Tree editor to insert the commands at the required position of the tree node. A special Commands editor can then be invoked by double clicking on the box labelled 'Commands that appears. This particular editor provides most of the functionality of the Procedure editor, including the choice of scripting languages.
